Cook Da Books - Simmer Gently (1980)

Following on from my previous post, here's another albums-worth of rare Cook Da Books tracks, made up of compilation appearances, film soundtrack contributions, and Peel sessions. As well as the global hit single 'Your Eyes' from the soundtrack of the film 'La Boum 2', they also contributed another couple of songs, and once they had the taste for it, they gave more songs to films and TV series in 1985 and 1986. The Peel sessions are definitely worth hearing, as although the songs often came from singles or albums, they are mostly radically different versions, and often sound like a completely different song. So for fans of this grossly under-rated band, simmer gently and enjoy.
