We're up to Volume 7 of the Master Guitarist series, and Sunny Ade has stuck with his new band The African Beats for this one. They will now remain with him for the majority of his career, and become synonymous with the guitarist, playing on all of his best known albums. There is just one more volume in this original series, before we're treated to a special Anniversary album the year following the release of Volume 8.

ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know when Ogun Party Pt. 1 (Best Of The Classic Years 1969-1974) or Bombibele Horojo (Sunny Adé The Master Guitarist Vol. 11~Sunny Ti De) were recorded? I haven't been able to track them down.
